450. ἀνίστημι A. Causal in pres., imperf. to make to stand up, raise up, χειρός by his hand. Il.:— to raise from sleep, wake up, Il.: metaph., ἀν. νόσον Soph.:— to raise from the dead, Il., Aesch.; from misery, Soph.
