2230. ἡγεμονεύω ἡγεμονεύω, I. to be or act as ἡγεμών, to go before, lead the way, Hom.; ὁδὸν ἡγ. Od.; c. dat. pers. to lead the way for him, ῥόον ὕδατι ἡγεμόνευεν made a course for the water, Il.
