2955. κύπτω [Root ΚΥΠ] 1. to bend forward, stoop down, Hom., Hdt., etc.; θέει κύψας runs with the head down, i. e. at full speed, Ar.; κύψας ἐσθίει eats stooping, i. e. greedily, id=Ar.; κέρεα κεκυφότα ἐς τὸ ἔμπροσθεν horns bent forward, of certain African oxen, Hdt.
