2964. κυρόω [from κῦρος] κυ_ρόω, φυτ. -ώσω 1. to make valid, confirm, ratify, determine, Lat. ratum facere, Hdt., Aesch., etc.:—Mid. to accomplish one's end, Plat.:—Pass. to be ratified, Hdt., attic:—generally, κεκύρωται τέλος the end hath been fixed or determined, Aesch.; πρὶν κεκυρῶσθαι σφαγάς before it has been accomplished, Eur.:—impers. c. inf., ἐκεκύρωτο συμβάλλειν it had been decided to fight, Hdt.; ἐκυρώθη ναυμαχέειν id=Hdt.
