3322. μεσόω μεσόω, φυτ. -ώσω [μέσος] 1. to form the middle, be in or at the middle, Aesch., Eur.:—of time, ἡμέρα μεσοῦσα mid- day, Hdt.; θέρους μεσοῦντος in mid summer, Thuc.
2. c. gen. to be in the middle of, τῆς ἀναβάσιος Hdt.; so, c. acc., μεσῶν τὴν ἀρχήν in the middle of his time of office, Aeschin.
