4374. προσφέρω doric ποτι-φέρω fut. προσοίσω ionic aor. pass. -ενείχθην I. to bring to or upon, apply to, Lat. applicare, Hdt., Eur., etc.; but, πρ. χεῖρά τινι to lay hands upon one, Pind.; also to offer one's hand, as a friend, Xen.:—without dat. to apply, exhibit, employ, use, βίην Hdt.; πρ. τόλμαν to bring it to bear, Pind.: also, πρ. πόλεμον Hdt.
