‖An′dan‐ti″no (�), a. [[It., dim. of andante.]] (Mus.) Rather quicker than andante; between that allegretto. ☞ Some, taking andante in its original sense of “going,” and andantino as its diminutive, or “less going,” define the latter as slower than andante.
