‖Ar‐thro″di‐a (�), n. [[NL., fr. Gr. �, fr. � well articulated; ἄρθρον a joint + � shape.]] (Anat.) A form of diarthrodial articulation in which the articular surfaces are nearly flat, so that they form only an imperfect ball and socket.
