Ca‐coph″o‐ny (?), n.; pl. Cacophonies (#). [[Gr. ���������; κακόσ bad + ���� sound: cf. F. Cacophonie.]] 1. 1. (Rhet.) An uncouth or disagreable sound of words, owing to the concurrence of harsh letters or syllables. “Cacophonies of all kinds.” Pope.
