CADILESKER

Ca′di‐les″ker (?), n. [[Ar. qāḍī judge + al'sker the army, Per. leshker.]] A chief judge in the Turkish empire, so named originally because his jurisdiction extended to the cases of soldiers, who are now tried only by their own officers.
