Copts (kŏpts″), n. pl.; sing. Copt (#). [[See Coptic.]] (Etnol.) 1. 1. An Egyptian race thought to be descendants of the ancient Egyptians.
2. 2. The principal sect of Christians in Egypt and the valley of the Nile.
