‖Ec‐lamp″si‐a (?), n. [] (Med.) A fancied perception of flashes of light, a symptom of epilepsy; hence, epilepsy itself; convulsions. ☞ The term is generally restricted to a convulsive affection attending pregnancy and parturition, and to infantile convulsions.
