‖E‐pan″o‐dos (?), n. [[L., fr. Gr. � a rising, return; επἴ + � a way up, rising; � up + � way.]] (Rhet.) A figure of speech in which the parts of a sentence or clause are repeated in inverse order, as in the following: — O more exceeding love, or law more just? Just law, indeed, but more exceeding love!
