ESTOILE

‖Es′toile″ (?), n. [] (Her.) A six-pointed star whose rays are wavy, instead of straight like those of a mullet. [Written also étoile.] Estoile of eight points, a star which has four straight and four wavy rays. — Estoile of four points. Same as Cross estoilé, under Cross.
