Hare″bell′ (hâr″bĕl′), n. (Bot.) A small, slender, branching plant (Campanula rotundifolia), having blue bell-shaped flowers; also, Scilla nutans, which has similar flowers; — called also bluebell. [Written also hairbell.] E'en the light harebell raised its head. Sir W. Scott.
