MESOSTATE

Mes″o‐state (?), n. [[Meso- + Gr. � to make to stand.]] (Physiol.) A product of metabolic action. ☞ Every mesostate is either an anastate or katastate, according as it is formed by an anabolic or katabolic process. See Metabolism.
