‖Mon′a‐del″phi‐a (?), n. pl. [[NL., from Gr. μόνοσ alone + αδελφὄσ brother.]] (Bot.) A Linnæan class of plants having the stamens united into a tube, or ring, by the filaments, as in the Mallow family.
