MONOTHELITE

Mo‐noth″e‐lite (?), n. [[Gr. �; μόνοσ alone, only + �, �, to will, be willing: cf. F. monothélite.]] (Eccl. Hist.) One of an ancient sect who held that Christ had but one will as he had but one nature. Cf. Monophysite. Gibbon.
