PALAMEDEÆ

‖Pal′a‐me″de‐æ (?), n. pl. [] (Zoöl.) An order, or suborder, including the kamichi, and allied South American birds; — called also screamers. In many anatomical characters they are allied to the Anseres, but they externally resemble the wading birds.
