PAPILIO

‖Pa‐pil″i‐o (?), n. [] (Zoöl.) A genus of butterflies. ☞ Formerly it included numerous species which are now placed in other genera. By many writers it is now restricted to the swallow-tailed butterflies, like Papilio polyxenes, or asterias, and related species.
