PENTACLE

Pen″ta‐cle (?), n. [[Gr. πέντε five.]] A figure composed of two equilateral triangles intersecting so as to form a six-pointed star, — used in early ornamental art, and also with superstitious import by the astrologers and mystics of the Middle Ages.
