Pic″ro‐mel (?), n. [[Gr. � bitter + � honey: cf. F. picromel.]] (Old Chem.) A colorless viscous substance having a bitter-sweet taste. ☞ It was formerly supposed to be the essential principle of the bile, but is now known to be a mixture, principally of salts of glycocholic and taurocholic acids.
