Pink″ster (?), n. [[D. pinkster, pinksteren, fr. Gr. �. See Pentecost.]] Whitsuntide. [Written also pingster and pinxter.] Pinkster flower (Bot.), the rosy flower of the Azalea nudiflora; also, the shrub itself; — called also Pinxter blomachee by the New York descendants of the Dutch settlers.
