Re‐cip″ro‐cate (–kāt), v. i. [imp. & p. p. Reciprocated (–kā′tĕd); p. pr. & vb. n. Reciprocating.] [[L. reciprocatus, p. p. of reciprocare. See Reciprocal.]] To move forward and backward alternately; to recur in vicissitude; to act interchangeably; to alternate.
