STYRAX

Sty″rax (?), n. [[L. styrax, storax, Gr. �. See Storax.]] 1. 1. (Bot.) A genus of shrubs and trees, mostly American or Asiatic, abounding in resinous and aromatic substances. Styrax officinalis yields storax, and S. Benzoin yields benzoin.
