Tal″ly, v. t. [imp. & p. p. Tallied (?); p. pr. & vb. n. Tallying.] [[Cf. F. tialler to cut. See Tally, n.]] 1. 1. To score with correspondent notches; hence, to make to correspond; to cause to fit or suit.
