TRACHEOBRANCHIA

‖Tra′che‐o‐bran″chi‐a (?), n.; pl. Tracheobranchlae (#). [[NL. See Trachea, and Branchia.]] (Zoöl.) One of the gill-like breathing organs of certain aquatic insect larvæ. They contain tracheal tubes somewhat similar to those of other insects.
