Project Updates & Writings

The open notebook of the ministry — weekly notes, build receipts, and longer reflections when the moment asks. Plainly told; no polish for its own sake.

Why We Write Here

This is not a content-marketing feed. It is a faithful record of what we are building and learning — including what is unfinished. Day-by-day rhythm lives in the Daily lane. Teaching archive is in Sermons. Ministry context is on the Ministry page. Email version sent via Newsletter.

Weekly research articles ship here with a Sources & proof section when claim rows exist — estate receipts by hash, public links only when earned.

If a post is missing, we have not shipped it yet — silence is not failure.

We Rebuilt the Site from Scratch — in DAVAR

For months I watched agents produce build after build. React, WordPress, hybrid stacks. Thousands of design iterations. Some of it was beautiful. None of it felt right.

The problem was not the design. It was the foundation. We were building on sand — third-party stacks, PHP, Node, plugins that could break at any upstream update. I wanted the site to be as native to Dave as possible. If Dave is built in DAVAR, the site should be built in DAVAR.

So we started over. The entire danczministries.com is now served by a single native C binary — davar_http.exe — running on a Lightsail instance behind CloudFront. No Python at serve time. No PHP. No WordPress. The pages are authored in .davar contracts, compiled once, and rendered server-side at C speed with no client JavaScript.

The result: every page loads in under 200ms. The Bible engine serves 31,102 KJV verses from a native SQLite database. The community platform — feed, forums, chat, churches, meetups — runs from a single database with no third-party APIs.

It is not finished. The Sanctum is still growing. The brain needs more compute. But the foundation is right. DAVAR on DAVAR, top to bottom.

Updates describe the build. For theology behind the work — creation, DAVAR, Scripture reasoning — bring the question to Dave AI. The How It Works page covers limits.
