Trust & Safety
This is meant to be a safe place. Here is how we protect the people who gather here.
Our Commitment
People come to a ministry carrying real weight — grief, doubt, crisis, and hope. We take seriously our responsibility to make this a place where the vulnerable are protected and where no one is exploited or harmed. Dave is a companion and a study tool, never a replacement for professional care, the church, or emergency help. When a moment calls for real-world help, we will always point you toward it.
How We Keep This Place Safe
- Clear guidelines — every community space is governed by the community guidelines; harmful content is removed.
- Protecting the vulnerable — content that exploits, endangers, or targets children or anyone at risk is never tolerated.
- Privacy by default — we minimize what we collect and never sell your data. See the privacy policy and data-handling pages.
- Dave knows his limits — Dave is built to defer hard human crises to real help, not to play counselor in a true emergency.
- Report anything — if you see harm, report it or contact the ministry directly; we read every message.
If You Are in Crisis
If you or someone you know is in danger or considering self-harm, please reach real help now — do not wait. In the United States, call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, available 24 hours a day. If there is immediate danger, call your local emergency number. You matter, your life matters, and there are people ready to help you right now.
