Sanctum Fossils

The fossil record is one of the most contested territories between faith and science — and one of the most interesting. Sanctum enters the tension honestly. Leviathan and Behemoth are in Job. The creatures of the deep are named in Psalm 104. The Flood of Genesis reshaped the earth and buried its creatures in layers that still bear witness. Fossil cards are honest explorations, labeled by confidence and sourced carefully — not a millions-scale wiki index.

Every claim in the fossil archive carries an evidence tier — nothing outruns its proof.

Concept means a visual reference card exists — silhouette, reconstruction study, or comparative art; no model or gameplay claim.

Review means accuracy check in progress — paleontological details, dating context, or Scripture connection under active review.

Scriptural means a direct connection to a named biblical creature is established — Job 40-41, Psalm 74, Isaiah 27 — with verses cited.

Staged means a model pass is queued but not begun; the card is approved for pipeline entry only.

Model means a 3D mesh has been generated, reviewed, and passes load/render quality — a separate documented proof pass.

Playable means in-engine with animation, collision, and encounter behavior — the highest tier; no fossil entry qualifies today.

The Dave creation research corpus includes young-earth, old-earth, and evolutionary datasets — all labeled by interpretive framework. Fossil cards draw from this corpus and invite the player to engage with actual evidence. The game is a place to think and wonder, not to be told what to conclude. YHWH made these creatures. Their record is worth examining carefully.
