This page explains the main data paths in plain language. The app is intended to keep study local where practical, but some beta, support, purchase, reliability, and connected DaveAI features may involve service providers.

Much of the app can stay on your device
Reading history, study preferences, and saved study activity may be stored locally on your device. Removing the app or clearing app data can remove many local items.
If you use connected DaveAI features, prompts and related service requests may be sent to the configured service so the app can respond.
- Study actions, preferences, notes, and local history
- Prompts or requests you send to connected DaveAI features
- Device, crash, diagnostic, and reliability information
- Support emails and details you choose to send
- Purchase or beta-program status when an app store or approved install path is involved

Connection changes the path
If a live Dave service is enabled, related prompts and service requests may leave your device. Offline study features do not require that connection.

Depending on the build and enabled features, app stores and service providers may help with beta distribution, reliability, analytics, translation, support, or purchases.

You choose what to send
Only send support details needed to understand the issue. Do not send passwords, full card numbers, bank details, or security codes.
