Sanctum Devlog

Build notes, not hype. Every entry is an evidence trail — what changed, what was proven, what the next bounded step is. The game is being built honestly, and this is the record.

Why We Publish Build Notes

Most games publish hype — screenshots before the game runs, trailers before the mechanics work. We do not do that. The Sanctum devlog exists to show the actual work: organizing passes, model pilots, proof checks, things that worked and things that did not. If you are following the build, you deserve the honest state, not the marketing version.

Proof Labels in the Devlog

Every claim in the devlog carries an evidence tier — nothing outruns its proof.

Concept means a visual or design study exists; not a runtime or playable claim.

Prototype means a system has been tested in local tools with documented evidence.

Review means quality, accuracy, or appropriateness check in progress.

Proven means a bounded, documented demonstration that a specific claim is true — screenshots, load tests, or video evidence on file.

Staged means queued for the next bounded step but not yet started.

What Proof Means Here

In the Sanctum devlog, proof has a specific meaning: a bounded, documented demonstration that a specific claim is true. A model proof means the model loads, renders at intended camera distance, passes quality review, and is documented with screenshots. An animation proof means a specific cycle plays correctly in-engine. Unproven claims are labeled Concept or Staged, never features.

The Next Bounded Steps

Desert Asp single-model proof pass — silhouette, material, load and idle animation in runtime. Once that passes, the same pipeline applies to each subsequent enemy. Concurrent: player character model pilot for the Avatar Creator. World geometry pilot for the first Sanctum biome is queued. Every step is documented here before the next one starts.
